Politely being rude to financial big wigs since 1991
The Bruxist Collective's take on Art and (as Alfred Jarry might put it) P'finance.
A numerically dyslexic artist (and reluctant consumer) shares his dearth of financial wisdom and resulting frustrations with his Bank Manager. Read personal letters from the elusive Art to his even more elusive Bank Manager. See a comic rendition of a Day In The Life Of The Bouncy Banker. Art struggles to make sense of the senseless as the Authorities of Finance wobble but never quite fall down. Full of hot air they float above it all! When they bounce it is with impunity! Why are there no Remorseful Bankers? Can Art and Finance ever coexist? Do you have a Blue Chip on your shoulder? When bankers get together they talk about Art. When artists get together they talk about money. Oscar Wilde
I have yet to monetize any of my blogs but believe me your offer to join your affiliate program is very appealing. Your ratings also are very impressive.
Like so many folks, I do struggle with my own debt issues, but I find myself deeply mistrusting, these days, all such offers, and always assume there is a pitfall someplace, a jarring compromise. Would I be like the soldier in Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale, selling his soul (his violin) to the Devil in exchange for wealth, a happy life.... I like to believe I am not a deeply suspicious individual but have to face the fact that these days I probably am. There are so many temporary fixes, stop gaps, half measures out there, and then every day of course we hear of people struggling with debt being cheated, or tricked, into worse debt than ever. Would programs like yours only extend my debt into the future where my burden may be lifted but my children and grandchildren would be taking it on? This is a genuine question. I want to believe your program is sincerely one that helps people. If your organization is part of the solution and not the problem I would be thrilled to be a part of extending your reach.
If you have looked at the blog closely you'll see that it thinly veils my own very real anxieties around personal debt and keeping a roof over my family's head. It also concerns my obsession with Art and Finance, and peoples' inability to lead creative lives due to the paralyzing anxieties and pressures brought on but the current storm of fiscal issues.
I do hope you find my response thoughtful not offensive and again would be thrilled to participate. I am not against making money from my blogs if I can be sure I am not hurting anyone in the process. If you still feel we are a good match that would be great.
I am guessing your company is for profit but do not quite understand how you make money from people who clearly do not have any. As I make clear on my blog I am numerically dyslexic and am an artist and writer, NOT a financial whiz (to put it mildly).
