We Are A Banana Republic—More or Less What I've Been Trying to Say All Along

I have not been adding to this blog of late because now everybody is seeing it (The Horror) and saying it (The Greed) so much more efficiently than I do. Here Nicholas Kristof puts it nicely (click on link above) and there is also a link here to an excellent series on inequality by Timothy Noah of Slate.
Need I add that banks are evil?
